Cabo San Lucas Country Club
The Cabo San Lucas Country Club, only a mile outside of the city of Cabo San Lucas, might deceive you with its views of the Sea of Cortez’s turquoise waters and its scenery of Palo Blanco trees and Cardon Cacti, but this is no ordinary Cabo golf course. One of the first golf course in the region, the Cabo San Lucas Country Club still holds its own among visiting Cabo golfers
This Cabo San Lucas golf course was originally designed by Roy Dye and the Dye Family and opened in 1994. Its 18 holes span over 745 acres, creating a unique Cabo golfing experience which includes views of the famous El Arco landmark and one of the longest golf holes in Mexico (the 7th hole is a 610 yard par 5).
Disaster struck the Cabo San Lucas Country Club’s golf course when Hurricane Juliet hit Cabo San Lucas in 2001. The hurricane tore up holes 10 through 15 so badly that many people thought the course would not re open. But thanks to a 5 million dollar investment by IntraWest Golf Group, Cabo San Lucas golf fans can still enjoy the course. The holes were expertly restored, built completely from scratch. After this restoration, the course was known as Raven Golf Club. The course changed its name back to Cabo San Lucas Country Club in 2006.
The course, lead by golf professional Eric Grindereng, is 7220 yards with a rating of 75.4 and a slope of 138. The front nine spans 3,651 yards and is Par 36. The back nine is slightly shorter at 3, 651 yards and is also par 36. The record for the course stands at a very stubborn 71.

Proper golf attire is required, meaning that t-shirts, tank tops, and denim are forbidden while collared shirts and closed toe shoes are must. The course offers private lessons, lockers, club rentals, practice facilities, golf carts, and a pro shop. Club Rentals are $49.50 for 18 holes and unlimited practice balls can be purchased for $33.00.
