How is the crime rate?

I was wondering about the crime rate there in Cabo. Is it low or high? I ask this question whenever I go to different countries or anyplace in the states. I know tourists like myself are prone to criminal attacks, so I just would like to know if the crime rate in Cabo is good or bad. Thanks!

The crime rate is relatively low. Every time I've been there everyone's been so generous. There's only one road leading and and out of Cabo, so you shouldn't worry about drugs or anything coming in. You'll be fine, trust me. :)

I didn't feel like I was in any danger the entire town I was in Cabo, and I did a lap or two around the entire city.

For tourists there's a pretty low crime rate. My main motto in Cabo is "if I don't go looking for trouble, trouble ain't gonna find me." But man, Cabo is safer than many, many, many US cities and towns. I feel much safer going out drinking in Cabo than I do at home in Texas. Most of the people in town make their livelihoods off of us tourists. They ain't gonna screw that up for a couple bucks here and there.

That's good than. I've been meaning to go soon, but had to cancel. So I might be going in September or so. Glad to see a small crime rate. Hate crime! I'm sure everyone else does too. Haha!

The only crime would be not visiting due to safety concerns.

First and foremost, it is important to note that Los Cabos and the sate of Baja California Sur are physically separated from those northern US/Mexico border cities specially identified within the Travel Warning by the nearly 1000-mile long Baja Peninsula and the Sea of Cortes.
This isolated setting protects Los Cabos from the effects or potential activity which may occur in other areas of Mexico and in fact, provides vacationers with a highly sought sense of island-like sanctuary.
However, you should take the regular safety precautions that you would in any vacation destination.

My husband has lived in Cabo for 14 years now and has almost never heard of any crime (besides an occasional robbery). I feel a lot safer living here than I did back in the states.

All Advice appreciated for Cabo Jan 2nd - 23rd 2012

    Hello

All. My wife and I are headed to Cabo San Lucas for an extended trip. We won't have a large amount of money to burn yet we want the safest/most complete experience.

I'll need tips on everything from:
Where should we eat (my wife is vegan but i'm not)?
What is reasonable transportation from the airport?
Where do have to romance her (views, land marks and activities)?
Where to stay and eat in Todos Santos, San Jose Del Cabo and La Paz?
Safety Concerns: Should we even venture out beyond San Jose Del Cabo & Cabo San Lucas? How should I handle money Pesos vs Dollars vs Cards?
Who is the best tour group for horseback riding, glass bottom boat tours?

We are New Yorkers who will be on our first trip to the area. All wisdom and proven travel tips welcome. Thank you for your help to make our first anniversary and second honeymoon awesome.
