Los Cabos is easier than ever to get to, with many flights arriving daily.
Airlines are the by far the fastest way to reach Cabo San Lucas.
When booking your flight your arrival destination will be the Los Cabos International Airport located 8 miles north of San Jose del Cabo and 29 miles northeast of Cabo San Lucas (airport code SJD).
Arriving airlines in Cabo provide year round or seasonal flights depending on your departing location.
Flying into the Cabo Airport
Once you arrive the Cabo San Jose airport is divided into 3 terminals and provides a variety of services and entertainment for its fliers. These last stop clothing, jewelry & souvenir shops, restaurants, and bars are available in all of the terminals and can help you pass the time while waiting for a flight. The Cabo airport accepts flights from Aeromexico, Mexicana, American Airlines, Continental, US Airways, Interjet, Volaris, Frontier, United and West jet.
Getting to your Accommodation from the Airport
The drive from the Cabo airport to San Jose del Cabo is only 15 minutes but the drive to Cabo San Lucas is 30 to 45 minutes. Due to the length of drive between the Cabo airport and Cabo San Lucas it is ideal to schedule ground transportation ahead of time as taxis can be extremely expensive. The good news is the view through the San Lazaro mountain range is breathtaking!

Many airlines offer direct flight to Cabo. Below is a chart of the airlines and the cities that they fly to Cabo non-stop from. Those labeled "Direct" offer year round direct flights to Cabo, while those labeled "Seasonal" only offer direct flights to Cabo during peak season (December - April).

There are also direct flights from Canada through West Jet out of Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver. It is also worth noting that there is a small regional airport right outside of Cabo San Lucas.
