Shopping in Cabo San Lucas

In the mood for shopping while you are in Cabo? Lucky for you, Cabo shopping has something for everyone. Whether you're looking for something authentically Mexico or searching for familiar and close to home, Cabo San Lucas has it. This applies when shopping for clothes, accessories, furniture, jewelry, art, home décor, books, souvenirs and even movies.
Some differences you will find while Cabo shopping are lowered sales tax (10% vs. 15%), duty free shopping, and the mandatory siesta hours when shops will be closed (2 pm - 4 pm). For the most part though Cabo San Lucas shopping is well known for its familiar products, particularly in their supermarkets. These stores make tourists feel at home while in paradise. Other than that just enjoy the exotic scenery as you cruise through the shops!
There are three areas to shop - San Jose del Cabo shopping, the connecting Corridor in between, and Cabo San Lucas shopping itself:
Cabo San Lucas Shopping: This area has now officially arrived as one of the premiere shopping scene's amongst Mexico's resort destinations. You will find all you want and more while shopping in Cabo San Lucas.
San Jose del Cabo Shopping: This area has a classier tone to it. You'll find most shops here close to the Zocolo, or along Calle Zaragoza and Boulevard Mijares. San Jose del Cabo shopping is known best for its gold, silver and opal jewelry, beautiful home furnishings and upscale resort wear.
The Corridor Shopping: This Cabo shopping center is located in small centers along the four-lane highway. The Corridor is best known for its familiar mega stores such as Home Depot, Costco and Wal-Mart as well as luxury car agencies lining the roads. Luxury shopping is also available in the new center Las Tiendas de Palmilla - located on the opposite side of the road across from the One & Only Palmilla Spa Resort. Here shoppers will find themselves surrounded by beautiful architecture and a spectacular view of the Sea of Cortes.
