It’s surprising how often Cabo travelers are looking for that deliciously secret Cabo San Lucas restaurant off the beaten path that no other travelers know about.
There’s no doubt that Cabo’s many tourist spots and 5 star restaurants have good food but many people are looking for a more authentic experience. Sometimes they are looking for an inexpensive way to visit Cabo and other times they just want to experience Cabo from a local’s perspective.
My favorite person to get local advice from in Cabo is Victor from Victor’s Cabo Transportation. Victor has lived in Cabo for over 20 years and as a private driver he has gotten to know Cabo inside and out.
In honor of all travelers looking to dig a little deeper into local Cabo San Lucas food, Victor and I have put together the lowdown on Cabo cuisine.
A word of advice: Be prepared that most of the staff may not speak English. These restaurants may be harder to find than popular restaurants and might have some unfamiliar menu items. We recommend taking a guided tour if you are not used to exploring on your own or are uncomfortable with speaking Spanish.
