Hi Lisa!
From the outside Cabo can look very expensive, but there are actually quite a few ways to find a hotel in Cabo on a budget.
You can save money on your hotel if you select one that is not on the beach. You find great steals on hotels located in the towns of Cabo San Lucas or San Jose del Cabo.
All of Cabo’s beaches are public so you can still go to the beach when you need to. Medano Beach is walkable from all of the downtown Cabo Hotels. And if you stay downtown in Cabo, you are in walking distance from all the bars.
Check out Hotel Bahia Los Cabos.
There are many small inns and hotels in Cabo that can be great for a travel on a budget. You can find rooms for about $50, even during high season. But be aware, if you are looking for a 5 star beach resort, these are not it.
Check out Hotel Mar de Cortez (pictured) or the Hotel Santa Fe for great inexpensive hotels in Cabo.
An all inclusive resort can seem like a lot more money upfront, but it will ultimately keep your budget in check. Having your food and drinks included means that you won’t have extra expenses. You can find a good all inclusive resort for about $180 a night.
Check out the Riu Santa Fe and the Melia Cabo Real.
When you book your flight to Cabo and hotel together, you can save hundreds of dollars. You can book vacation packages with your flight included through many airline websites or through sites like Travelocity and Expedia. Some hotels in Cabo even offer flight packages through their own booking engines.
